Floorplan Layout The CTICC (Cape Town International Convention Centre) has hosted large medical and scientific conferences, as well as major exhibits and launches. All audio-visual equipment and other state-of-the-art equipment can be provided on request. The CTICC has a 2 storey gallery the full length of the centre, linking all of the conference rooms in a smooth flow.
Disabled delegates or guests with wheelchairs need not worry. There is international standard wheel-chair access, designated drop-off points and parking bays, toilets and elevators with Braille inscription.
There are 2 auditoriums at the CTICC. Each auditorium is complete with state-of-the-art technology and acoustics. The seats in the auditoriums have writing tablets attached to the seats.

Conference Room Styles
Auditorium I
Auditorium I seats an impressive number of 1 500 delegates in comfort. The auditorium is equipped with a large stage and screen, 6 translation booths, an orchestra pit and a projection room. Meeting suites and dressing rooms are available as well. There is a spacious foyer for the use of drinks serving, registration or networking functions.
Auditorium II
This auditorium seats 620 delegates. This auditorium also has a stage, screen, 6 translation booths and a projection room. The Strelitzia Conservatory is ideal for registrations and pre or post-event cocktails.
Exhibition and Trade Show Space
For exhibition purposes, there is 10 000 square metres of dedicated, column-free exhibition and/or trade show space. The exhibition space can be turned into 5 separate venues and has access to water, power and data connections.
Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom is a full glassed facade masterpiece with a floor space of 2000 square metres. At night there are beautiful views of the city and Table Mountain. Acoustic technology, motorised blinds and light enhancement, make the ballroom a place of splendour. Two kitchens situated on either side of the room service the guests. A smoking lounge and foyer comes with the venue.
The Roof Terrace Room
The Roof Terrace Room has breathtaking views of Table Mountain and allows for natural light during the day. However motorised blinds can make the room dark for presentations. The Roof Terrace Room has an interior an exterior terrace, allowing for flexibility.
Meeting Rooms
There are 4 meeting rooms in total, each catering for up to 330 delegates. Each meeting room can be divided into separate facilities.
Meeting Suites
The 13 Meeting Suites, most of which overlook the Exhibition Halls, are well equipped and vary in size accommodating up to 25 delegates respectively.
Conservatories and Landings
The CTICC has conservatories and landings, perfect for post-conference discussions and refreshments. The conservatories enjoy natural sunlight and a indigenous flora. The 2 restaurants which are accessible by the venues are the Strelitzia and the Jasminum.
Registration Foyer
The Registration Foyer is perfect for large numbers of delegates. Here, the delegates can be ushered to their spots, at this custom made and private foyer.
Main Foyer
The Main Foyer leads off Convention Square and is the main entrance to the CTICC.
Banqueting Facilities
The CTICC has the largest and most advanced kitchen in the Western Cape. The kitchen is run by internationally trained staff, who ensure that the meals, treats and drinks are of the first order. Quality menus can be prepared for any budget. To make sure that delegates can enjoy a hot, fresh meal, there are 7 satellite kitchens strategically located around the centre. |
