Freight Intra-Africa South 2012

Freight Intra Africa

The Freight Intra-Africa South 2012 will be held at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, Gauteng from 27 to 28 March 2012. For Africa's freight transport sector to be able to improve its competitiveness, at the same time coping with increasing volumes and responding to the demands of society for sustainability, it will be necessary to better utilise available transport resources and infrastructure.

The aim of the FIA is to highlight initiatives, projects and the role of the regions in the continen's development through effective transport solutions To highlight programmes that will fast-track Africa's cross-border transport networks, by all transport modes (road, sea, rail and air) and that will facilitate trade and stimulate sustainable economic growth. This will be our priority.

The Conference is an interactive forum for businessmen, experts and government to engage and discuss their ideas and experiences and through facilitated sessions allow the private sector to work together to provide a platform on the way forward and to seek out the best opportunities for our continent.

The quality and efficiency of transport infrastructure directly impacts on the costs of logistics in general, and on transport in particular, which has a significant bearing on the competitiveness of companies and, consequently, on their decisions relating to location, investment and production.
