Markex and World of Events Cape Town 2011 takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on 23 - 25 August 2011.
Held for the first time in Cape Town in 2005, Markex World of Events 2011 promises the same one-of-a-kind showcase of marketing and events products and services last seen in Cape Town in 2008 by nearly 3 500 visitors.
A bi-annual event on Cape Town's calendar, Markex provides visitors with a comprehensive and dynamic showcase of leading suppliers to the marketing and promotions industry. Running parallel to Markex, World of Events showcases a variety of goods and services from suppliers to the special events and associated industries.
With 96 exhibitors in 2008, Markex Cape was an unrivalled opportunity for marketers to stock up on ideas, concepts, inspirations and contacts for the year ahead. The show attracted 3 437 visitors when it was last staged in Cape Town, with 87% of visitors reporting that they made or influenced a purchasing decision at the show.
With many corporate headquarters housed in Cape Town, it's no surprise that the show met with such an overwhelmingly positive response, and that 96% of visitors were drawn from the Western Cape.
For the first time in 2011, Markex and World of Events will feature a new 'Trade Only' section. Visitors wishing to gain access to this area will be required to pre-register with a company registration number and will have to meet 'trade only' criteria for access, ensuring enhanced targeting of visitors for exclusively trade exhibitors.
In a concerted drive to ensure exhibitors of quality visitors, non-ticket holders to the show will be required to pay a R50 entrance fee. Furthermore, please note that no students and schools or children under the age of 18 will be allowed access due to the fact that this is a Trade Show.
Markex and World of Events is an important industry resource. In 2008, the top business activities listed by visitors were suppliers, promotion and promotional gift companies, event management companies and advertising agencies, indicating the targeted nature of the audience.
Markex offers so much more than just promotional space. Finely focused on its industry sector, the event has been designed to provide a highly cost-effective, interactive platform that will enable exhibitors to deeply penetrate the market, guaranteeing the delivery of business contacts that create value.
Markex Gauteng and regional shows Markex Cape and Markex KZN, continue to attract increasing numbers of both local and international visitors from countries including Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Botswana and other surrounding countries.
With its focus on the marketing, promotions and special events industries, Markex presents visitors with the opportunity to discover and explore the latest "Who's Who" among products, solutions and service providers in the marketing and events industries, such as:
