The Buffelsdrift Conference Venue exits onto the wooden deck with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Karoo plains. This venue is available for a maximum of 100 delegates and has the latest AV technology. The venue is ideal for conferences, seminars, motivational speakers, team building, presentations and social events.

Weddings at Buffelsdrift

The Karoo Wedding Chapel is a tiny wooden chapel with a thatched dome, situated on the edge of the natural waterhole and a wide wooden deck as the entrance to the intimate little chapel. This deck serves as a seating space for wedding guests witnessing the bridal couple exchanging their wedding vows. The chapel is ideal for romantic country weddings.

Game-viewing Activities

Take a bush safari in an open game vehicle on your Garden Route holiday to a panoramic lookout point where refreshments will be enjoyed while taking in the natural beauty of the environment. Game viewing on horseback is also an option – guests will be escorted by a trained guide to getting a closer view of the game roaming the vast undulating hills.

The excellent Buffelsdrift Restaurant offers an à la carte or buffet menu that specializes in local Karoo cuisine that includes homemade preserves, chutney, pickles – fresh produce and herbs from the area as well as a variety of freshly baked oven bread. The selected wine list is a true representation of excellent South African wine and offers guests some of the best award-winning wines on the R62 – the longest wine route in South Africa.

The open-air bar is situated next to the conference venue and is an extension of the wooden deck. The bar offers a variety of soft drinks, spirits and a wide selection of local wine and port. The neigbouring town of Calitzdorp houses 3 of the top wine estates on the R62 - also known as 'The Port Capital of the World'.
